About Home Instead Cannock
My name is Frances Sayer, I am the Managing Director and owner of Home Instead Senior Care Cannock assisted by Deputy Care Manager Lesley Wilcox and a dedicated team of CAREGivers.
The office has been established since June 2010 and covers the vast area of Cannock Chase including Rugeley, Burntwood, Hammerwich,Hednesford, Heath Hayes, Norton Canes, Cannock Central, Great Wyrley, Cheslyn Hay, Penkridge & Wheaton Aston.
In my past, I was employed by a leading care home company, which provided residential, nursing, Alzheimer's and dementia care.
It soon became obvious to me that many older people would really prefer to remain in their own home rather than moving into a care facility. Often both they and their families had experienced problems with care in their own home and felt that a residential home was now their only option. This was especially relevant for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia related illness.
I started to research care providers and was delighted to discover Home Instead Senior Care. Home Instead’s ethos matched exactly what I had been looking for, to enable older people to remain independent in their own homes by providing a caring and professional environment.
Clients can continue to enjoy their life and wherever possible attend social and community events with the assistance of our trained and compassionate Caregivers who are individually matched to their requirements.
Our aim is to ensure continuity of care, enabling clients to see the same CAREGivers and to enjoy building relationships with that person. The services provided range from personal care, companionship, befriending, light housework, meal preparation and transportation plus many other types of assistance. This can be provided to anyone over the age of 18, as well as older people with health or mobility problems, including anyone with physical or learning disabilities. For those who suffer from Alzheimer's and dementia, our specialist service provides a very person centred approach and provides continuity of carer that is essential. The services are very adaptable and Home Instead Cannock pride themselves on being responsive and flexible to a client’s needs. In times when family members may be finding care difficult to cope with or need a much deserved break, we can step in to offer respite care solutions. Homecare to Home Instead Cannock is not just about the 'task' it is about the person and all of their needs.
Home Instead Cannock is registered and regulated with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and all CAREGivers provide six references and are required to have a Criminal Records Bureau check undertaken through Home Instead before commencing work. All of the training, references and checks ensure that you, or your loved one can be confident of receiving caring, compassionate and professional assistance whatever your needs may be.
The office based in the heart of Cannock serves the whole of the Cannock Chase region.
The Cannock Home Instead Senior Care Office is part of a global network of more than 900 locally owned and operated offices.
Home Instead Cannock has exceeded my expectations in every respect. For the past four months, they have been helping to care for my 94-year-old mother. She is a very independent woman who is determined to remain in her own home, but her increasing frailty and occasional forgetfulness were making this more of a worry for us both. The serious illness of her longstanding and much loved carer meant that Mum’s independence was at risk and, not being on the spot, I didn’t know where to start to find a replacement. When a friend from St Albans recommended HISC , I decided to give HISC Cannock a try. From my initial phone call to Fran to my first meeting with Ruth, I felt reassured and confident that my mother’s needs and preferences would be taken into account. I was impressed at the care with which Ruth identified caregivers to match my mother’s own interests and background, something which has proved invaluable as the weeks have gone by, as they have so much to talk about with her - which is just what my mother needs. The level of attention to detail is quite outstanding and the amount of information I get is well judged. The administration and management of Home Instead is of the highest quality, and the carers themselves are very special people: professional, efficient and kind beyond words. I can honestly say that everyone from Home Instead Cannock seems to really care about my mum, and I feel so grateful to them all for helping her to retain her independence.Mrs S from Walsall
