The wood is renowned for its abundant butterfly population, showcasing a wide variety of species. Additionally, it serves as a habitat for numerous woodland birds, including the majestic tawny owl. Above, the skies are graced by the graceful flight of red kites and buzzards, adding to the vibrant ecosystem of Penn Wood.
