Home Instead Bromley Owner Recognised at National Women in Business Awards

Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington is proud to celebrate owner, Karina Brown, who was recently recognised as a finalist in the prestigious Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWiF) Awards.
The awards, which celebrate the achievements of women across the UK franchising sector, brought together inspiring business leaders from a wide range of industries to recognise innovation, leadership and community impact.
Karina was shortlisted in the Woman Franchisee of the Year category, reflecting her commitment to delivering exceptional care, supporting her team and making a meaningful difference within the local community.
Having established Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington in 2013, Karina has spent more than a decade building a trusted home care service that supports older adults to remain independent in their own homes. Under her leadership, the business has grown significantly and now supports more than 150 clients across the borough.
The recognition follows a remarkable period of achievement for both Karina and the local Home Instead team. In 2025, the office was recognised as the highest performing Home Instead franchise in the UK network, which includes more than 265 territories nationwide.
Karina has also been recognised for her wider contribution to the care sector and local community. She received Highly Commended status in the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards and was honoured with the inaugural Cora Phillips Award from Bromley Dementia Friendly Community for her dedication to supporting people affected by dementia.
Speaking about being named a finalist, Karina said:
“I am incredibly proud to have been recognised alongside so many inspiring women from across the UK. This achievement reflects the dedication of our entire team, who work tirelessly every day to provide outstanding care and support to our clients and their families.
Everything we do is centred around helping people live well at home and remain connected to their communities. It is a privilege to lead such a compassionate and committed team.”
The EWiF Awards celebrate women who are making a positive impact through business leadership, innovation and community engagement. Being recognised at a national level is a testament to the values that continue to drive Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington forward.
Everyone at Home Instead Bromley would like to congratulate Karina on this fantastic achievement and thank our clients, families, Care Professionals and office team for their continued support.
Together, we remain committed to delivering outstanding care and making a positive difference to the lives of older people across Bromley, Chislehurst and Orpington.
