Enabling You to Travel Safely, Comfortably, and With Confidence

Holiday Care: Enabling You to Travel Safely, Comfortably and With Confidence
A holiday should feel like a breath of fresh air, a chance to unwind, enjoy new surroundings and spend time doing what you love. But if you receive care at home, planning a trip can sometimes feel complicated. You may be unsure how your care needs will be supported, whether your destination is suitable, or how to make the journey safe and enjoyable. Contrary to this, you may not receive care, but the idea of travelling alone may be worrisome or unfavourable. That’s where our holiday care comes in.
We’re here to help you travel with confidence, offering personalised care from a trusted Care Professional who accompanies you every step of the way. Whether you’re planning a relaxing UK break or an overseas adventure, we can help make your holiday both possible and enjoyable.
A Supportive, Straightforward Process
Your journey with us begins with a simply enquiry. Once you reach out, we arrange a free home consultation at a time that works for you. This visit allows us to understand your care needs, discuss your holiday plans and explore the type of support you’d like while you’re away.
From there, we create a tailored care plan designed specifically for your trip. We also carry out a full risk assessment to ensure your accommodation, travel arrangements and destination are safe and suitable. This careful preparation gives you the reassurance that everything has been thoughtfully planned around your wellbeing.
Care That Travels With You
Our holiday support service is built on the same principles as our live-in care – consistent, one-to-one support from a Care Professional who understands your routines and preferences.
Because your Care Professional will be travelling with you, you would cover their travel and accommodation costs. This includes hotel stays and, for international trips, flights. You can either provide meals during the holiday or offer a daily food allowance, whichever suits you best.
This arrangement ensures your Care Professional is fully available to support you throughout your trip, whether you need help with personal care, mobility, medication, companionship or simply the reassurance of having someone you trust by your side.
Best Suited to Week-Long Breaks – With Flexibility for Regular Travellers
To ensure the service runs smoothly, we usually recommend a minimum holiday length of one week. This gives your Care Professional enough time to settle into the rhythm of the trip and provide consistent support.
However, if you take frequent short breaks, we may be able to accommodate shorter holidays. We’re always happy to discuss your plans and explore what might work.
Plan Ahead for a Smooth Experience
Holiday care involves thoughtful organisation, especially when travel, accommodation and care needs all come together. To give us enough time to match you with the right Care Professional and make all necessary arrangements, we recommend getting in touch at least one month before you plan to travel.
The earlier you contact us, the easier it is to ensure everything is arranged smoothly and without stress.
Support for a Wide Range of Care Needs
Many people assume that complex care needs make travelling difficult, but that isn’t always the case. While certain conditions or specialist equipment can create additional considerations – particularly for overseas travel – they don’t automatically prevent you from enjoying a holiday.
If you’re planning a UK-based break, we can often source equipment locally at your destination, making travel much more accessible. Even for international trips, we’re happy to explore options with you and advise on what may or may not be possible.
Our priority is always your safety, comfort, and enjoyment, and we’ll guide you through the planning process with honesty and care.
