Why Palliative Care may be right for you

At Home Instead within the Brentwood, Billericay and Upminster areas, we will work alongside Palliative support provided by hospice at home services, such as Saint Francis Hospice and St. Luke’s Hospice, for example. It is important for us that our clients receive the appropriate support from the help that is available. We work with our clients and their family members with their health care team to ensure that our clients receive the best care possible.

What we do to care for your loved ones

We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. • Companionship care

We carefully match Care Professionals with clients to ensure a meaningful bond is created.
  • Home help & meal prep

Keeping the home environment clean, safe, and nourishing with home-cooked meals.
  • Personal care

Assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, always respecting the dignity of your loved one.
  • Mobility support

Helping your loved one move around their home safely, including transfers and positioning.
  • Health appointment management

We support you to attend those important health appointments.
  • Community engagement

We enable you to continue to do the things you enjoy, be it a visit to the garden centre or your local art group.
  • Transportation

Assistance getting you from A to B, whether it be to go visit a friend or help with your shopping.
  • Medication management

Ensuring medicines are taken correctly and on time, supporting overall health.

I would like to thank you and your team for going above and beyond for them both over the past 5 years. All your care professionals provided excellent care and support to Mr & Mrs T from shopping to cleaning the house and providing 2 meals a day. They helped in their desire to stay in their own home for as long as possible. Without your personal support and dedication they would have needed to go into a care home well before now.

Jane is very happy with Yvonne and her mum is happy with her going in and it gives her great reassurance knowing this when she is at home in Exeter.

Tina was introduced to a new client last week, it was obvious she had read the care plan and knew details about the service and the client. Also, Tina was very calming and put the client at ease.
