At Home Instead Braintree, Halstead and Sudbury we take pride providing personalised care to the elderly folk of Coggeshall and the nearby villages of Stisted, Pattiswick, Bradwell and Coggeshall Hamlet. Coggeshall is a lovely little ‘olde worlde’ town with a lot to offer and boasts nearly 200 listed buildings, including the magnificent ‘wool church’ (St. Peter ad Vincula). There are numerous cultural events happening throughout the year not least being the September Carnival or the summer concerts at St Peter’s. Our team takes joy in supporting our clients in all aspects of care they require while maintaining their dignity and independence. Our clients have a wealth of stories which they are always eager to share with care professionals

We offer everything from companionship and household help to specialist dementia care and complex support for conditions like Parkinson’s. In Coggeshall, we tailor our support to the unique character of the area, often incorporating local landmarks and amenities into our care plans. For instance, Martin often enjoys a drive to St Nicholas Church and then a short walk to the peaceful “Abbey”, founded by King Stephen in 1140. There are a host of delightful cafes and restaurants and many activities occurring in local church halls and clubs to which we will take clients. We have close ties with Coggeshall Surgery and Day Lewis Pharmacy which is often essential for the regular support of our clients
Coggeshall is close to the busy A120 with many local venues and villages along the route to Marks Tey. Rob will escort Martin to one of his many favourite Churches once or twice a week, be it St Barnabas in Chappel, St John The Baptist in Little Maplestead or St Michael’s & All Angels in Copford while Elizabeth may escort Teresa out for coffee and cake at the restaurant in Poplar Nurseries or the Blackhorse Café at Olivers Plants. When the weather is fine, Amanda may take Nina to Millenium Green for a short walk alongside the famous Chappel Viaduct. Regular outings can be very stimulating for our lovely clients, who might not otherwise venture out, with the added benefits of reminiscing about familiar locations and some healthy exercise

We are committed to excellence, and it is essential that we learn as much about the client’s past and their current wishes and needs before we build with them their support plan and outcomes. Matching the “right” care pro is the next important step along with the adequate visit time to achieve the outcomes in a relaxed and unrushed environment. Our CQC “Good”, Google Five Star and our impressive 9.9/10 Homecare.co.uk ratings all reflect this. Our team’s commitment to excellence is imbedded in their extensive training, expertise and dedication to compassionate care. All our Care Professionals will hold the Care Certificate after their first 3 months at Home Instead and many specialise in areas such as Dementia and Parkinson’s care
Beyond our one-on-one care services, we are dedicated to enriching the broader Coggeshall community. We have hosted scam awareness talks at local events and ran a stall at a local British Legion event. Our What’s on Where guide lists many of the weekly activities and has proved a popular handout for social prescribers, community agents and local charity and community support groups. We support the seasonal dementia friendly events hosted by Braintree Council at the Tow,n Hall bringing along residents of Coggeshall and helping out at the events. Coggeshall’s strong sense of community and vibrant local culture, combined with the exceptional care we provide, ensures our clients can continue to enjoy a fulfilling life in this beautiful area
