Local woman, Jennifer Martindale, (35), from Heaton, was inspired by the wise words of her late grandmother, who told her she would make an outstanding CAREGiver after helping to care for her grandfather who lives with vascular dementia.
Jennifer had never thought about working in care, but she decided to give it a try after her grandmother passed away, owing her new career to her grandmother’s sound advice. She has been a caregiver at Home Instead Senior Care in Bolton for just over a year and specialises in companionship and personal care.
Jennifer said, “The best thing about being a CAREGiver is helping to make someone’s life a little easier, even if it is just making a cup of tea, setting the table for dinner, or having a good chat. If it helps take the strain off and remove a little of the worry, then I know I have made a positive difference and that is the best feeling in the world.”
Jennifer continues, “Working for Home Instead is great because the hours are flexible, travel is paid for, and the entire team is so supportive, approachable and friendly. My clients are all fantastic and I just love my care visits with them all. They each have a special place in my heart.”
Steve Williams, co-owner of Home Instead Senior Care said, “We are so lucky to have Jennifer as a caregiver. She is an exceptional member of the team and we value her contribution greatly. Jennifer is the very essence of exceptional caring, bringing to each and every relationship her natural empathy and ability to care.
“Caregiving is a really rewarding job and often people simply don’t realise how much they have to offer. We are always looking for kind and compassionate people to join our team, so please feel free to get in touch if you would like more information on becoming a caregiver.”
