Garden centres to visit in Belfast

A garden centre is a great spot to spend the day- whether it be admiring the plants and gifts or going for a bite to eat with a friend.

Situated only 15 minutes away from Belfast centre, in North Belfast, this garden centre has a wonderful selection of plants to choose from and styling ideas to inspire you. There is a cafe which serves lunch, having glowing reviews online.  For those with a sweet tooth, there is also an opportunity to get some cakes, tarts and traybakes.

The garden centre is wheelchair accessible, free parking and closes at 5.30pm every day. The cafe closes at 5pm.

Old Colin Garden Centre

Located in Dunmurry, this garden centre has a fantastic range of plants, flowers and baskets available to buy in store. Many of the reviews for this garden centre rave about their helpful staff, being friendly and knowledgeable. They have a small cafe which serves breakfast, cakes and hot drinks.

The centre closes at 6pm each day.

Hillmount Garden Centre

This garden centre is located in East Belfast. It sells a wide range of garden furniture along with plants and other gifts, plenty to allow you to browse or buy. The Gardners Rest Cafe has its very own pastry chef who provides freshly-made pavlova, scones and other sweet treats. Along with this, they provide a lunch menu, with all ingredients locally sourced.

The garden centre opens until 5pm. The cafe opens from 9am to 4.30pm midweek and 4.45pm at the weekends.
