Our Christmas team meeting gave us a lovely opportunity to pause, come together and reflect on the people who make Home Instead Bedford what it is. From our Care Professionals out in the community to the team supporting them every day, it was a reminder of just how much care goes into caring.
What stood out most was the feeling of being valued. Several Care Professionals shared how supported they feel and how much that means to them in their work.
“I have never felt so valued, taken care of and supported as with Home Instead.”
Feeling trusted with wonderful clients, while also feeling appreciated as an individual, makes a real difference. It creates confidence, pride and a sense of belonging that carries through into the care provided every day.

Our team meetings are about more than updates. They are a chance to connect, share time together and enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
“The team meetings are always fun, foodie and full of positivity.”
One Care Professional shared a lovely moment with a client at Tibbs, who described how she felt as being “full of loveliness”. That same phrase came up again when Care Professionals spoke about how the Home Instead Bedford team makes them feel too. It perfectly captured the warmth and care that runs through everything we do.

Many Care Professionals spoke about how appreciated they feel, not just at Christmas but throughout the year.
“I’ve never felt so valued in a workplace. It’s the nicest thing ever.”
That appreciation matters. It reassures people that the work they do is seen, recognised and genuinely valued.
There were also kind words shared about the support and leadership within the team, with one Care Professional saying that joining Home Instead Bedford was “the best decision I ever made”.

The meeting was also a chance to encourage Care Professionals to put themselves or their colleagues forward for recognition awards. These awards exist to celebrate the real difference made every day.
“To get to the final was humbling and exciting, and to win was a bonus.”
Being recognised was described as a truly special experience, shared with loved ones and remembered as one of the best days of their lives. The message was clear. If you feel someone deserves recognition, or if that someone is you, please do put yourselves forward.

Alongside our Care Professionals, we also want to thank the team who support and guide them behind the scenes. From care planning and scheduling to training, reassurance and being there when support is needed, this team plays a vital role.
Their guidance allows Care Professionals to focus on what matters most. Providing thoughtful, high-quality care to clients across the areas we support.

Home Instead Bedford is built on care, kindness and mutual respect. Our Care Professionals and support team are at the heart of everything we do, and we are incredibly grateful for the commitment they show every day.
Thank you for making Home Instead Bedford such a supportive, positive and caring place to work and to receive care.
