The interior is truly impressive, largely taking inspiration from some of Britain’s best children’s classic literature, such as; Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

PJ's Café and Bistro
PJ’s is a large, family friendly café that offers indoor and outdoor seating. Although not as unique as the Twisted Teapot, PJ’s is a modern, accessible café located in the heart of Barnsley – ideal for visiting after a day of shopping.
Described as a ‘little gem’ by its visitors, it’s certainly not one to miss!
Cawthorne Village Store and Tearoom
Located in the picturesque village of Cawthorne, just outside of Barnsley, this friendly family-run business ‘prides itself on offering a friendly and personal service with a traditional touch’, an ethos we share here at Home Instead.
In contrast to the buzzing atmosphere of PJ’s, Cawthorne Village Store and Tearoom’s customers enjoy their afternoon tea in the company of a stunning, tranquil view of the Cawthorne Woodlands. This hidden treasure truly does prove to be the perfect day out, with plenty to offer from fresh food, dried goods, local produce, plants and pottery.
