What is companionship at Home Instead Senior Care?

Home Instead Aylesbury Vale considers companionship services and companion support to be a priority. We deliver many forms of care to individuals in the Aylesbury Vale and North East Oxfordshire, including personal care, respite care, home help services, and specialist Alzheimer's and dementia care, but alongside this we always aim to deliver friendship and trust in the form of companionship.

Companionship can be just as crucial as all other forms of care, and can have an incredibly positive effect on any individual. There are a number of situations where companionship is valued, such as any elderly people who live alone or companionship and respite care for a family carer, as well as a way to grant people an element of independence and individuality.

We match each of our CAREGivers with our clients to ensure that they share similar interests and complimentary personalities with which it is easy to build a relationship or trust and friendship. No matter what other services our CAREGivers are providing, they will always extend an arm of friendship to all of their clients and just be there for them as any friend would.

Companionship services can include everything from simply having a chat over a cup of tea, to heading out for a walk, going to the seaside, out for lunch, or even daytrips and weekends away. These activities truly enrich the lives of our clients and help them to retain their individuality, as well as their sense of adventure!

We aim to be as flexible as possible to support not just the client but the families as well. We will work with you to ensure we do what you require as every family is different.
