The Home Instead Difference: More Than Just Care

We recently had our first “Talk Care Tuesday” on March 12th, which was a great success. We delved into what sets Home Instead apart from other care companies. Our key points of discussion included our minimum one-hour call times, ensuring our care professionals aren’t rushed; ongoing training and advanced courses for our staff; and the continuity of care we provide, with clients having the same small team of carers for reassurance and confidence.

One of our key team members, Lisa, who has previous experience as a care professional, shared valuable insights. She discussed the emotional support we provide to our care professionals, especially in difficult situations like the passing of a client. Lisa offered useful tips for dealing with such moments, including reminding oneself that they did their best for the client every day, ensuring their final days were as happy and comfortable as possible.

In addition to these aspects, Home Instead also supports Care Professionals and the office team through an Employees Assistance Program (EAP) focused on wellbeing. This program allows them to access a confidence help and support line 24 hours a day. This further highlights our commitment to providing comprehensive support and care, not only to our clients but also to our dedicated staff members.
