More Than Just Groups

The services provided by Hale U3A go beyond interest groups. They have already planned a number of events for their members this year, including a warm Hotpot Supper, a lovely Jazz Lunch, and a delightful theatre excursion to the Altrincham Garrick. A Community of Lifelong Learning

Since its founding in 1982, u3a has served as a light of lifelong learning throughout the United Kingdom. u3a is a monument to the joy of learning in later life, with over 1,057 local chapters and over 450,000 members. Membership is inexpensive and open to everyone who is not working full-time, guaranteeing that everyone has the opportunity to ‘laugh, learn, and live.’ Furthermore, additional provisions have been made to accommodate members and their care professionals, making it perfect for people receiving care in Altrincham and Hale.

Learning at U3A is about enjoyment, not stress. Members learn from each other in a casual, fun environment without having to worry about tests or credentials; instead, they share what they know and experience.

Join Monthly Meetings

Curious to learn more? Join us at our monthly meetings at Bowdon Rugby Club, The Marquee Room, Clay Lane, Timperley, Altrincham, WA15 7AF. Held on the first Wednesday of every month, the doors open at 1:30pm for a 2pm start. It’s a great chance to meet the community and see if U3A feels like the right fit for you. Annual membership is just £10, with a £5 joining fee.
