September Highlights – A Month of Awareness, Celebration & Connection

September has been a busy and inspiring month for all of us at Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport — filled with awareness campaigns, heartfelt celebrations, and more.

World Alzheimer’s Month

Every 3 minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia.
Throughout September, our team has been sharing advice, tips, and stories to help local families better understand dementia and the small ways we can all make a difference.

By starting conversations and offering practical support, we aim to empower families and raise awareness across our community.
Have questions about dementia? Don’t hesitate to reach out — talking about it truly can make a difference.

Professional Care Workers’ Week(12th -19th)

We were proud to celebrate our amazing Care Professionals and the incredible support they provide to families every single day.
Their compassion, commitment, and dedication help clients live happier, more independent lives at home — and their hard work has led to achievements we’re truly proud of, including:

To all our Care Pros — thank you for everything you do. You make an extraordinary difference every day.

Falls Awareness Week 2025

Falls remain one of the most common causes of injury among older adults, often leading to hospital admissions. This week, we shared practical tips and advice to help families reduce the risk of falls and keep loved ones safe, steady, and confident at home.

We also proudly announced that Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport is the first home care provider in England to be involved in a new service designed to reduce wait times for specialist frailty assessments — a project that’s already helping older adults receive faster, more tailored support.

Care Pro Coffee Morning

In September, our Care Pro Coffee Morning offered the perfect opportunity to slow down, catch up, and enjoy some well-deserved time together over tea, coffee, and cake!

These gatherings are all about connection — creating space for our Care Pros to share experiences, support one another, and celebrate the incredible work they do every day.
A big thank you to everyone who joined in and contributed. We’re already looking forward to our next morning of laughter, conversation, and team spirit!
