Home Instead Team Steps Up for Best Foot Forward 2026
Home Instead Wolverhampton, Wombourne & Kingswinford raises funds for Home Instead Charities by completing more than 40km at the Best Foot Forward 2026 community event.

The Home Instead Wolverhampton, Wombourne & Kingswinford team swapped desks for trainers this summer as they took part in Best Foot Forward 2026, a community fundraising event held at Aldersley Stadium.
Organised by the Rotary Club of the City of Wolverhampton, Best Foot Forward encourages people of all ages to walk, jog or run laps of the stadium to raise money for good causes while promoting health, wellbeing and community spirit. The 2026 event also introduced the BFF Bonus, giving local charities and community groups the opportunity to earn additional funding based on the number of laps completed by their teams.
Walking together for Home Instead Charities
Having proudly supported the event as a sponsor in previous years, the Home Instead team decided to take part in a different way this year by raising funds for Home Instead Charities.
The charity helps older adults across the UK by funding projects that reduce loneliness, support wellbeing and help people remain connected to their local communities. Small grants have helped provide companionship activities, community transport, social groups and practical support that can make a real difference to older people.
The team’s goal was simple: complete as many laps as possible and help unlock additional funding through the BFF Bonus initiative.

More than 40 kilometres completed
Between them, members of the Home Instead Wolverhampton, Wombourne & Kingswinford office team completed an impressive 102 laps of Aldersley Stadium, covering a combined distance of 40.8 kilometres.
Their efforts secured a £204 donation for Home Instead Charities through the event’s BFF Bonus scheme.
The individual achievements included:
– Paramjit Toor – 30 laps
– Julie Toor – 22 laps
– Lucie Xenophontos – 20 laps
– Andrea Price – 15 laps
– Rio, Andrea’s four-legged walking companion – 15 laps
Every lap contributed towards the final total, demonstrating what can be achieved when people come together for a shared cause.
Supporting our community beyond home care
At Home Instead Wolverhampton, Wombourne & Kingswinford, supporting older adults goes beyond providing care at home. The team regularly takes part in community events, works alongside local organisations and looks for opportunities to improve the lives of older people both inside and outside their homes. Fundraising initiatives such as Best Foot Forward help extend that support even further by contributing to projects that tackle loneliness, encourage social connections and promote independence.
While the kilometres have now been counted, the impact of the event will continue through the work that Home Instead Charities carries out in communities across the UK.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part, supported the team and helped make this year’s event another fantastic success.
