Home Instead Wigan Raises Over £550 for Alzheimer’s Society at Community Fundraiser

Home Instead Wigan is delighted to share the success of our recent fundraising event in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, held at the Wigan Investment Centre. The day was a wonderful example of the local community coming together to support a cause that touches the lives of so many.
We were proud to welcome Tony Kilgannon from the Alzheimer’s society attended the event along with his colleague, Katie Lewis and said “the event was very well organised by Home Instead in Wigan and helped raise in excess of £500 for our charity. We are sincerely grateful for this and know this will go to a great use in supporting local people”.
Their presence and encouragement added so much to the event. With their support, and the backing of our fantastic Care Professionals, clients, families, and neighbours, the fundraiser turned into a real community celebration.
Guests enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the day, including a lively cake sale, a “bag in a bottle” challenge, and the opportunity to make a lasting mark on our pledge board. A raffle, packed with brilliant prizes generously donated by local businesses, created a real buzz — the winners were drawn on 30th September.
We are thrilled to announce that thanks to everyone’s kindness and generosity, the event raised over £550 for the Alzheimer’s Society. This contribution will go a long way in helping to provide vital support services, raise awareness, and fund crucial research into dementia.
