At Home Instead Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon & Burnham-on-Sea, we believe in the power of putting one foot in front of the other to make a difference. So far this year, our team took on not one, but two incredible fundraising walks, raising vital funds and awareness for causes close to our hearts.
Walk #1: Weston-super-Mare Sea Front

Location: Knightstone Island
We met up on a sunny Saturday morning in March, ready to make some noise and be seen. Starting at Knightstone Island we walked along the Sea Front, past the Grand Pier and down to the Beach Huts. Generous members of the public took notice of our banner and popped some cash in our buckets as we went. We managed to collect £185.60 in the short time we spent walking. Our team members were very happy with the result and enjoyed the chance to meet up and socialise together.
Walk #2: Clevedon Sea Front

Location: Clevedon Marine Lake
Our second walk took place in Clevedon, on a cloudy but very warm Saturday afternoon in May. We started at the Marine Lake and made our way along the seafront to the beautiful Clevedon Pier. After a short rest to admire the view we carried on with our walk, going back the way we came, displaying our banner so everyone knew what we were up to. We had a lovely afternoon, and a particular highlight was being joined by one of our lovely live-in care Clients, Christine. Her Care Pros, Mel and Debbie brought her along to get some fresh air and join in the fun. Christine really enjoyed being part of the event. We collected £88 this time, all adding to the pot for our three charities.
