Dementia Action Week 2025

A week of awareness, celebration, and community support in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea.

What is Dementia Action Week

Dementia Action Week is a national event that brings people together to raise awareness, show support for those living with dementia, and promote inclusion across our communities.
At Home Instead Westminster, we are proud to collaborate with our partners across Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea to deliver a week filled with culture, wellbeing, and community events – all designed to make a meaningful difference.

Highlights of the Week

From 19th to 24th May 2025, join us for a variety of free, small-group activities, including:

  • A history walk at the Royal Opera House

  • A musical afternoon at Opera Holland Park

  • Special dementia-friendly tours at Westminster Abbey, the V&A Museum, and the Royal Albert Hall

  • Wellness workshops including chair-based yoga and a nutrition session by Imperial College London

  • The Dementia Information Fair at Kensington Town Hall, bringing together over 25 local services and support organisations

All events are designed to be accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for people living with dementia, their families, and caregivers.

How You Can Get Involved

Everyone is welcome to join Dementia Action Week! Here’s how you can help:

  • Attend one of our events

  • Share our flyer with friends, family, and local groups

  • Promote awareness on your social media

  • Encourage conversations about dementia in your community

Together, we can help make Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea places where everyone affected by dementia feels supported and included.
