Celebrating Joanne Palmer – National Award Finalist for Outstanding Contribution to Care

Our very own Joanne Palmer has been shortlisted for the “Outstanding Contribution” category at the national Leading Women in Care Awards 2026.
This is a hugely prestigious award that recognises women across the care sector who have made an exceptional impact through their dedication, leadership and compassion.
Jo was nominated by our team in recognition of the remarkable difference she has made to the lives of the people we support over the years. Her resilience, loyalty and truly person-centred approach to care stood out immediately.
The awards receive thousands of nominations from across the UK care sector, and we are absolutely thrilled that Joanne has been shortlisted as one of just six finalists in her category. Even more exciting, she is one of only two Home Instead colleagues nationally to make the shortlist.
Anyone who knows Jo will understand exactly why she has been recognised. She consistently goes above and beyond for her clients, always putting their dignity, independence and happiness first. Whether it’s offering reassurance during difficult moments, bringing warmth and companionship into someone’s day, or supporting families with kindness and empathy, Jo embodies everything great care should be.
Her commitment to our clients and to our team has made a lasting impact on the people she supports and the colleagues she works alongside every day.
Later this year, we will be travelling to London to celebrate the awards ceremony, where Joanne will join the other finalists from across the country. Simply being shortlisted is an incredible achievement and a testament to the outstanding care she provides.
Joanne represents the very best of what care professionals do every day, often quietly and without recognition. We are honoured to have her as part of our Home Instead family.
Please join us in congratulating Joanne on this fantastic achievement and wishing her the very best of luck for the final.
We are all incredibly proud of you, Jo.
