Home Instead Wembley celebrates two WAGS Awards finalists, Director Leena and Manager Clare, recognised nationally for their leadership and impact in home care.

We’re delighted to share some fantastic news from our Home Instead Wembley team.
Two of our colleagues have been recognised nationally at the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care (WAGS) Awards – a prestigious programme celebrating women who make a lasting difference in the sector.
To have not one but two finalists from our office is an honour, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for them.
Our Director, Leena, has been named a finalist for Home Care Business Woman of the Year, an award that highlights women who lead with vision, compassion and a commitment to outstanding care.
Leena’s leadership shapes the culture of Home Instead Wembley every single day. She brings focus, empathy and a clear sense of purpose to her role, always championing high-quality care and ensuring families feel supported and understood. Her dedication to building a strong, confident team is evident in everything she does, from mentoring new starters to continuously improving how we deliver support at home.
Her finalist status is fantastic recognition of the heart, hard work and expertise she brings to our community.

We’re equally proud of Clare, our Care Professional Experience Manager, who has been shortlisted for the Rising Star Award. This category celebrates emerging leaders who are already making a significant impact.
Clare has an exceptional ability to lift others up. She supports our Care Professionals with enthusiasm, understanding and patience, helping them feel valued and ready to thrive in their roles. Her creative ideas, calm problem-solving and commitment to personal development have strengthened our service and shaped the experience of our clients and team members alike.
Being named a Rising Star finalist is a wonderful reflection of her talent and the difference she’s making here at Home Instead Wembley.

The WAGS Awards were created to acknowledge the contributions of women across the social care workforce. With the majority of social care roles held by women, these awards spotlight the leadership, resilience and dedication that drive the sector forward.
Beyond the awards themselves, WAGS brings women together through events and shared learning, creating a supportive community that encourages confidence, collaboration and positive change. For both Leena and Clare to be recognised within this inspiring network is something we’re deeply proud of.
This year’s gala ceremony takes place on 2 December at Hilton Bankside, and anticipation is growing among the team. While neither Leena nor Clare would naturally choose the spotlight, we’re delighted to celebrate them both.
Their work, both the seen and the unseen, strengthens families, uplifts colleagues and brings warmth to every corner of our service. Their achievements remind us how fortunate we are to have such dedicated women leading the way.
A huge well done to Leena and Clare. Their passion, commitment and integrity inspire our whole team, and we’ll be cheering them on at the ceremony. No matter the outcome on the night, they have already made us incredibly proud.
