Cherise Reaches the Final of Homecare’s Got Talent!
Our Care Professional Cherise is a Homecare’s Got Talent 2025 finalist! See how she made it to the final and why we’re so proud to support her.
We are absolutely delighted to share some fantastic news! One of our very own Care Professionals, Cherise, has made it through to the final of Homecare’s Got Talent 2025!
Homecare’s Got Talent (HCGT) is not just any competition. It’s a nationwide celebration of the remarkable individuals working in the homecare sector; those who dedicate their days to supporting others, but who also carry incredible talents and passions beyond their caring roles.
A Spotlight on Unsung Heroes
HCGT shines a light on the vibrant, creative people within the care community. Whether it’s singing, dancing, juggling, acting, miming, this competition invites homecare professionals from across the UK to share their talents in a joyful, uplifting way.
The competition starts with video entries, which are reviewed by a celebrity judging panel. Selected performers are invited to take part in regional finals, held in Glasgow, Manchester and London. From there, just five are chosen from each region to advance to the national final and we’re so proud to say that Cherise is one of them.
Cherise’s Journey to the Final
Cherise travelled to London for the regional semi-finals earlier this month. Out of around 70 entries, approximately 20 performers were invited to the live auditions. From there, just five were chosen to go through to the national final, taking place in Birmingham on 14th August 2025.
The semi-final was a big day filled with nerves, excitement, and a few famous faces. In Cherise’s own words:
“There was a lot of waiting around but it was worth it and really fun. They had a few celebrity judges there. The one I knew was the lady from Bucks Fizz. They were all lovely and supportive of us.”
Despite feeling nervous, Cherise gave it her all and was absolutely thrilled to learn she’d been selected for the final:
“I was really nervous throughout the performance and thought I wouldn’t get through as I felt it wasn’t my best. Shocked that I got through as there were so many amazing singers.”
We couldn’t be more proud of her, not just for reaching the final, but for representing the heart and spirit of homecare with grace, warmth, and talent.
A Star on Stage and in the Community
Cherise brings her compassion, creativity, and care to everything she does, including her work with clients. The joy she brings to those she supports is just as evident on stage as it is in her day-to-day role.
We’re thrilled to have her in our team and can’t wait to see what happens in Birmingham next month.
About the Competition
Homecare’s Got Talent is open to all homecare workers across the UK, offering a platform to showcase skills that might otherwise go unnoticed. The final winner will receive:
– A £1,000 cash prize
– A chance to perform at a music festival
– An all-inclusive holiday for two
– And the chance to meet the celebrity judges!
