Growing old can bring challenges, both for the person who’s ageing and for their family. It can be frustrating for our loved ones because they can’t do everything they used to and feel like they’re losing their independence. At the same time, it might be worrying for their family as they might not be able to be there whenever their loved ones need them.
Home Instead Watford
Your home is where you feel the most comfortable and the happiest. It’s the place you know the best. Why would you move away from the place you love if you are faced with needing some extra care and support as you age? If you want to stay living comfortably at home, we can help you make that choice an informed one. We are Home Instead Senior Care. We are changing the UK’s attitude to care and to ageing with our distinctive approach to supporting people at home.

#YouCanCare week was launched in January 2018 and was so successful that it has been relaunched! This year it will be held on Monday 25th February to Sunday 3rd March. The idea behind #YouCanCare is to reach out to people who may not have thought about a career in care before but who could be just right for the role. You may not realise that simply being caring and kind is one of the main requirements for becoming a carer. You don’t need care experience to be a CAREGiver. If you have the right qualities and can commit to a certain number of hours, then we can provide first class training, ongoing support and flexible hours for you in an incredibly rewarding role. We are looking for special people who can build relationships with clients and help them to stay safely and happily in their own homes for longer. We employ CAREGivers of any age and any background - from people who may have worked in retail or in nurseries to those who have retired but still have plenty more to give, to mum's or dad’s looking for part time work. Case studies show how the role of CAREGiver has been a great opportunity and experience for all types of people. During #YouCanCare Week we will be sharing positive stories from our CAREGivers - these experiences might go towards explaining why 92% of our current CAREGivers would recommend Home Instead as a great place to work! During last years #YouCanCare week, the campaign successfully raised awareness of Home Instead Watford. We are hoping to do the same this year, so that we can bring more great new CAREGivers into our team. If you think you could be one of them, please contact Donna on 01923 250513.
As part of our ‘Stay Nourished’ Campaign, we are delighted to share this lovely story from one of our CAREGivers, Nathalie Graham. Nathalie really we
