Home Instead Wandsworth Celebrates Care Professional Excellence at Quarterly Meeting

Every quarter, our Care Professionals at Home Instead Wandsworth come together for a meeting that is as much about connection as it is about conversation. Recently, we held our latest quarterly gathering, and this one had a little something extra to celebrate.
This quarter, we made it all about recognition. Not the kind that waits for a formal review or a scheduled appraisal, but the kind that simply says: we see you, and we are grateful. Because the truth is, the people who make Home Instead Wandsworth what it is deserve to hear that not once a year, but as often as possible.
We are talking about the carer who remembers exactly which programme a client loves to watch on a Friday afternoon. The one who quietly rearranged her morning so a client wouldn’t face an unfamiliar face on a difficult day. The colleague who walks through the door on the hardest of shifts and still manages to bring the whole room to life. These are the moments that rarely make it into a report, but they are the moments that matter most to our clients, to their families, and to us.
This quarter’s meeting was our chance to say thank you for all of it.
For Our Wandsworth Caregivers
For many of our Care Professionals, who spend much of their working day in the quiet of a client’s home, these quarterly gatherings feel less like a work meeting and more like a reunion. There is always good food, plenty of laughter, and the kind of easy conversation that only comes from people who truly understand each other’s work. This quarter was no different; alongside the usual catch-up and updates, we dedicated time to the thing that matters most: a proper moment to pause, look around the room, and acknowledge the people who show up, day after day, with warmth and quiet dedication.
The Lucky Winners: Our Quarterly Raffle
As part of our reward and recognition programme, we held a raffle, and the excitement in the room was palpable. Every Care Professional’s name was placed into the hat before the draw began.
When the names were called, four Care Professionals each walked away with a £20 cash prize, and one very lucky winner took home the top prize of £50. The raffle brought plenty of excitement, appreciation and celebration into the room, and the reactions alone made the moment truly memorable.
A raffle is a small thing, but it is a reminder that appreciation does not always need to be formal or elaborate. Sometimes it just needs to be genuine, and this one absolutely was. Congratulations to all five of our winners. Every name in that hat was deserving, and we hope the next draw brings even more of you that same feeling.

Honouring Loyalty with Length of Service Awards
A particularly special part of the afternoon was celebrating the Care Professionals whose dedication to Home Instead has spanned many years. Several of our incredible team members were honoured with Length of Service Awards with years of dedication ranging from 2 all the way through to an outstanding 11 years.
In a sector where commitment and consistency make such an enormous difference to the lives of our clients, these milestones are not simply numbers. They represent thousands of visits, countless moments of kindness, and the kind of deep, trusting relationships that only time and care can build.
To each of the women honoured with a Length of Service Award: thank you. Your dedication speaks volumes, and we are honoured to work alongside you.
