Celebrating 20 Years of Home Instead

What a fantastic start to 2026! This year has already given us something truly extraordinary to celebrate. Home Instead has officially reached its 20th Anniversary, marking two incredible decades of transforming home care and cementing its place as the UK’s leading home care franchise. To mark this milestone, we had the pleasure of attending the gala evening with our Wandsworth team at one of London’s most iconic venues, the magnificent Grosvenor House Hotel. It was an unforgettable night of glitz and glam, complete with Broadway-style performances, surprise guests, and deeply emotional award moments.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

Home Instead UK’s 20th Anniversary Conference and Gala Dinner was a landmark occasion in every sense. Over 1,000 members of Home Instead’s network came together across a two-day conference packed with workshops and presentations, celebrating the brand’s extraordinary achievements and the people who made them possible. Franchise owners, carers, and key players from across the national network united for an evening of heartfelt recognition, world-class entertainment, and genuine celebration of everything Home Instead has built over the past two decades.

 

For our Wandsworth team, the evening carried a special significance all of its own. Our franchise owner Tony has been part of the Home Instead family for over 15 of those 20 years  and being there to witness just how far the organisation has come, celebrating alongside so many passionate individuals who continue to raise the standard of home care every single day, made it an incredibly proud and moving moment.

Showstopping Performances of the Evening

The anniversary gala opened in spectacular fashion with a breathtaking stage performance from Disney’s The Lion King cast. From the very first note, the room was captivated. The energy, colour and sheer talent on stage left the audience completely blown away and set the tone for an unforgettable evening.

 

Hosting the night was none other than comedian, actor and TV presenter Joel Dommett, best known as the face of The Masked Singer on ITV. With his trademark quick wit and natural charm, Joel kept the atmosphere lively and engaging throughout the awards ceremony. His humour, warmth and effortless stage presence made him the perfect host for such a milestone celebration.

 

And just when we thought the evening couldn’t get any better, it delivered one final surprise. Legendary Australian pop icon and former Neighbours star Jason Donovan took to the stage for a surprise after-party performance. The crowd erupted with excitement as he performed, creating a true feel-good, rock-star moment. It was the perfect way to close a landmark evening – one that will be talked about for years to come.

Celebrating Carers and Key Players

Special Recognition Awards were presented during the evening, including the highly coveted Carer of the Year and Key Player of the Year, celebrating the individuals who consistently go above and beyond in supporting both clients and colleagues. They serve as a reminder that beyond growth and numbers, it is our people who are the heart of Home Instead.

Congratulations to all the deserving winners. Your dedication, compassion and commitment are what make this network truly exceptional.

 

It was also a real pleasure to spend time with fellow franchise owners and carers from across the Home Instead family. Seeing so many passionate individuals gathered together, all committed to making a difference in people’s lives, was a wonderful reminder of the strength and unity within the Home Instead family.
