A glance back over the festive period and the positive outcomes we have achieved together in 2025

As we head into December and the festive season begins, we’re delighted to be sharing our newsletter a little earlier than usual. With so many exciting updates to celebrate before the end of the year, we couldn’t wait to keep you in the loop. This month, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has made this year so special, sharing a few feel-good highlights and festive moments that remind us why our Home Instead Swindon community means so much to us.
We’re delighted to be spending the Christmas period visiting so many of our lovely clients. And a huge thank you to all of our team who are dedicating their time over this period to making special moments with clients.

Eve Macey-Norris is the General Manager for Home Instead Swindon and Vale of White Horse, as well as the wider Virtus Care Group. She works closely with teams across the businesses, providing support and guidance to ensure high-quality, person-centred care and a positive experience for both clients and Care Professionals. Eve is deeply passionate about people and relationships, proud of the dedication shown by teams every day, and committed to keeping kindness, compassion, and quality at the heart of everything we do.

We’re delighted to share the success of Home Instead Swindon and Vale of White Horse’s Be a Santa to a Senior campaign, which brought festive cheer to older people across the local community. The team were warmly welcomed at the Teal Ward at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, where Home Instead elves shared thoughtful gifts and festive moments with patients. Singer Nicki from Sentimental Journeys joined the visit, filling the ward with beautiful carols and Christmas songs that brought joy and comfort to all. Festive kindness was also shared with community guests at our Home Instead Charities Faringdon Friendship and Memories Café, helping to spread Christmas cheer beyond the hospital and into the wider community.

This month, alongside running our regular seniors’ Friendship Cafés at Roves Farm and Faringdon, we’ve been out and about across the local area, sharing information and connecting with older people and their families. Our team visited community centres, libraries, supermarkets, and Memory Cafés, offering advice, support, and a friendly face. It’s always wonderful to meet so many people, hear their stories, and strengthen the links that help us continue working towards a dementia-friendly, connected community.

We’re excited to launch a new weekly Question Time call for family carers, friends, colleagues, or anyone navigating the care journey for a loved one. This is your opportunity to ask questions, seek guidance, or simply have a safe space to chat with our experienced team. Whether you need support, advice, or just someone to listen, we want to use our resources to make information and help more readily available to those who need it. Everyone is welcome — even if you’re not a Home Instead client family. Join us each week to connect, share, and gain support from people who understand the challenges and joys of caring for a loved one.

As the year draws to a close, we’re celebrating some of our favourite moments from 2025. From community events and festive visits to special team achievements, it’s been a year full of warmth, kindness, and connection—captured beautifully in these photos. Thank you to our clients, their families for your ongoing trust in our team. To our community partners for ongoing commitment to shares causes, and to our amazing team for making it all possible. We’re can’t wait to see what 2026 holds for us all, together!
