Wylde Green Rotary supports Memory Cafe

Home Instead Senior Care Sutton Coldfield have been running a Memory Cafe at St James Church Centre for over a year. There is a flourishing membership and there are many weekly activities which support and stimulate the each of the members living with Dementia and their families.

We have organised sit down Yoga, bell ringing, singing, dancing, reminiscence with story tellers as well as regular games likes draughts or tiddley winks.

We are delighted to recently receive support from The Wylde Green Rotary. They support many great causes and decided that in 2016/2017 they would raise money for community causes linked to Dementia.

Sally Clough, Director of the Sutton Coldfield office said,  “ We are so very privileged to have Wylde Green Rotary’s support, they raise enormous amounts of money for the community and we are delighted that they have considered the Memory Cafe as a suitable cause.”

Sally goes on to say “ I'd like to personally thank Jackie Ridge, the past President of Wylde Green Rotary for the recent presentation of a cheque for £270. This money is going to make a massive difference and provide more items to stimulate and engage with the attendees of the Cafe”

Home Instead Senior Care are passionate about supporting people living with Dementia to remain independent within their own homes. Sally and her team provide specialist support both within their Clients home and with special projects within the community.
