Harpenden - A great spot for lunch!

Harpenden has a broad range of lunch spots to lure you out for everything from a light snack to a hearty pub roast.

Harpenden’s origins date back to the 13th century, when it was part of the manor of Wheathampstead owned by Westminster Abbey. The town grew around the church of St Nicholas, which is the oldest church in the town and was built as a chapel of ease in 1217. Harpenden also played a role in the Wars of the Roses, as part of the Second Battle of St Albans was fought on Nomansland Common, just south of the town.

Today, Harpenden is a town that offers a high quality of life, with a balance between urban and rural living.  As such you can easily find a broad range of lunch spots to meet everyone’s tastes…

Lussmans

Lussmans is a small family run restaurant that serves up a wide range of dishes, including French, mediterranean and British meals using locally or UK sourced produce where possible.

The staff are warm and welcoming and there is a patio area for “al fresco” dining when the weather is warm. Access is from street level and there is plenty of parking nearby.

With special weekend lunches and plenty of vegetarian options, you’ll find that Lussmans is a great choice no matter who you are planning on dining with.

The staff are attentive and are happy to suggest suitable options from the menu should you be undecided! They also have a Delicatessen just up the road should you wish to take some of their wonderful food home.
