Games clubs - Rediscover your competitive streak, tax your brain, join a games club

There are many clubs in and around St Albans, they are cheap to attend and some events even include free refreshments, others you can bring your own along.

Duplicate Bridge Club

Location: The Jersey Farm Community Centre, Sandringham Crescent, St Albans, Herts, AL4 9RG.
They play duplicate pairs (don’t worry if you don’t have a partner, email [email protected] a few days beforehand, and he will pair you up). Duplicate bridge is a slight variation to Bridge where pairs compete against one another – ordinarily there is an East/West winner and a North/South winner. Some clubs will do an arrow switch so that all the pairs can compete against one another.
The costs vary between £2-£5 per session, and this includes tea, coffee and biscuits!
There are many tutorials online to learn about this game, this website is very informative, you can learn the basics, play against the computer or other players, there’s even a forum to ask questions.
