No two people are the same, which is why no two day care visits are either. Some clients enjoy baking, listening to music, or chatting about local news, while others like gentle exercise, puzzles, or arts and crafts. We work hard to match clients with Care Professionals who share their interests and personality, creating an atmosphere of relaxed support. These visits offer more than just help with the day; they build confidence, restore motivation, and provide valuable social connection. For many clients, our day care visits become a highlight, offering both stability and joy.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Families often tell us how much our day care support has meant. One son shared: “Very professional, both the caregivers and the office staff. Looked after my Dad from 2017 to 2019 and then my mum in 2021. We built up an excellent relationship, they went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful, as were my mum and dad.” Another wrote: “Excellent, timely, empathic care was provided by a small team to our mother. This carer became like a close friend to our mother. She was helpful and efficient without being too intrusive.” That’s the difference familiarity and compassion can make.

Our Care Professionals are trained in communication, mental stimulation, emotional support, and memory-friendly techniques. They receive guidance on how to provide structure without pressure, and how to support confidence and wellbeing through meaningful activity. Many also participate in workshops around reminiscence therapy and purposeful engagement for clients living with cognitive decline. With oversight from our experienced care team, each client’s plan is reviewed regularly to ensure it reflects their evolving needs. For us, day care isn’t about keeping someone occupied; it’s about helping them thrive.
