We believe great companionship starts with genuine interest and understanding. That’s why we tailor each visit to reflect the individual, supporting favourite hobbies, revisiting old memories, or exploring new ones together. Some clients enjoy creative activities like art or music, while others prefer conversation, walks in the garden, or flicking through photo albums with someone who’ll take the time to listen. Whether we’re helping someone regain confidence after a hospital stay or simply keeping them socially active, our companionship care is rooted in warmth, respect, and the freedom to be yourself.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

Families regularly tell us how much our companionship care has improved their loved one’s quality of life. Janice, a niece, wrote: “I had no hesitation in asking Home Instead to help my elderly aunt… the carers are always kind, respectful, dignifying and on time. A whole hour of top-class care makes Home Instead far superior.” Another client’s daughter shared: “With their help, Mum was able to live at home, which is what she wanted. The ladies in the office also supported and advised me through it all.” These words reflect what matters most – knowing someone is not only cared for, but understood and valued.
