What Does a 2-Hour Visit with Home Instead Look Like?

But if you’ve ever wondered what a typical visit looks like, we recently followed one of our amazing Care Professionals during a 2-hour morning visit to see what really happens.

From the moment they arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. After a quick hand wash and PPE (as always), the visit began with a friendly chat and a morning brew. Supporting the client to get ready for the day came next — ensuring they felt fresh, comfortable, and confident.

Breakfast followed — buttery toast and eggs, just how the client likes them, with a second cup of tea and a few good laughs.

Later in the visit, the pair looked through old photo albums and chatted about special memories. These meaningful conversations are often the highlight of the visit, offering connection, comfort, and joy.

Then it was off for a gentle stroll in the local park and a stop at a nearby café for a well-earned slice of cake. Back at home, lunch was prepared together, followed by a light tidy-up, a puzzle, and some snacks arranged for later in the day.

All in just two hours — but full of companionship, care, and the kind of thoughtful support that really matters.
