V Gorman’s Fish and Chips, Ashington

Established in 2010, this family run fish and chip shop prides itself on sourcing its fish only from sustainable and traceable sources. Owner Vicki prides herself on making all of all of her patties, fishcakes and savouries from scratch daily – even the tartare sauce is made in the shop!

Coastline Fish and Chips, Blyth

Situated right by Blyth Beach, Coastline were once named the ‘best seaside fish and chips in the UK’ by the Guardian newspaper. They offer gluten free options, and their cod and haddock is fished sustainably. This family-run business first opened in 2002, and has won numerous accolades for their excellent food and service.

Fish and Chips at No10, Morpeth

Situated on Market Street in Morpeth, No10 offers all the classics, including fish and chips, battered sausage and Pukka Pies. They even offer Doddington’s Dairy ice cream for dessert if you fancy a sweet palate cleanser for after your main meal.

Surjan’s, Blyth

A firm favourite with our office team, we couldn’t leave Surjan’s out of our list. At around 12:30pm every Friday, the team enjoy a takeaway treat together, and it’s usually chips on the menu!
