Join Us This August for Our Key to Care Session
Raising Awareness of Cancer

At Home Instead South Cheshire , we believe that knowledge has the power to change lives. That’s why we are delighted to invite our local community to our next Key to Care session, where we’ll be focusing on an incredibly important topic – cancer awareness.
Taking place on Wednesday 19th August from 1pm – 3pm at the Caritas Centre, 65 Delamere Street Crewe, CW1 2JX, this free event is open to anyone who would like to learn more, meet new people and enjoy a welcoming afternoon together.
What is Key to Care?
Our monthly Key to Care sessions are designs to bring people together in a relaxed and friendly environment to learn about a variety of health and wellbeing topics that matter to our community. Whether you’re an older adult, a family carer, a healthcare professional or simply interested in finding out more, everyone is welcome.
Every session is built around 3 simple principles:
Key Connections – Meeting new people and reducing social isolation.
Key Support – Discovering local services and organisations that can help.
Key Conversations – learning from expert guest speakers and having meaningful discussions.
As always, there will be plenty of opportunities to socialise before and after the talk, with refreshments available throughout the afternoon.
This Month’s Topic: Cancer Awareness
We’re pleased to be welcoming Lucy from Community and Voluntary Services who will be talking about their cancer awareness project.
The project aims to improve people’s understanding of the signs and symptoms of cancer while encouraging more people to attend their NHS cancer screening appointments when invited.
Early diagnosis can make a significant difference, and by increasing awareness, we hope to empower more people to recognise potential warning signs, seek advice when needed, and feel confident about accessing screening services.
Whether you’re looking to learn for yourself, support a loved one or simply gain a better understanding of the topic, this informative session offers an excellent opportunity to ask questions and hear from a knowledgeable local professional.
Everyone is Welcome
One of the things we love most about our Key to Care events is the sense of community they create. They’re not just educational sessions, they’re a chance to chat over a cup of tea, make new connections and find out what support is available locally.
If you’ve never attended before, we’d love to welcome you along.
