For 2023's #YouCanCare week at Home Instead Sheffield and Barnsley, we asked 7 of our Care Professionals to share why they choose to work in care.
You Can Care Week is an annual awareness campaign that was first set up by Home Instead a few years ago to promote the role of carers up and down the country and dispel some of the myths that may surround the job role. Since then, the campaign has taken off and grown into an initiative that is widely celebrated and promoted across the whole health and social care sector.
The aim of the week is to shine a spotlight on the incredible people working in the social care sector and encourage others to come and join. At Home Instead, we believe that to be a caregiver all you need is the right heart and desire to truly care, this desire could lead to older and more vulnerable communities receiving the support they deserve.
