Very happy with the service and care that Home Instead provide my 88-year-old mother. I don’t live near my mum so it’s very important to me that I can see how she is doing every day. The system they use allows me to remotely check how she is on each visit in real-time and gives a level of detail which gives me peace of mind. The care pros are just as the name suggests, caring and professional.

After a few hospital stays, my father needed help to live at home. It was incredibly stressful trying to find a team of people to care for Dad, who would look after him as if he were their parent and who we could trust. Fortunately my sister saw Home Instead featured on a TV show. I contacted them abs it just felt right. Home Instead knew exactly what they were doing and more importantly, what we were talking about. Their ethos was not only to assist Dad on a day-to-day basis but to help him rehabilitate as much as possible. They helped every step of the way, often exceeding expectations. As Dad’s health fluctuated so did his needs. Home Instead’s care pros rose to every challenge Dad presented to them. All of them were absolutely brilliant, from the first call to the last visit. We could not have coped without their help.

The team at Home Instead really are outstanding. They have provided truly person centred care to my mum, and have worked in partnership with her, me and my brothers to ensure that she received the best care and support possible. Nothing was too much. Communication was excellent and their Care Planning app meant I was always aware of what was happening and who was supporting Mum each day.
All of the Care Pros were professional, personable, and understood how to build the right relationships to deliver the best support. They were backed up by a responsive office team who were flexible around all of Mum’s care needs. What was most impressive were their problem solving skills and approach, which meant that every challenge was overcome quickly and creatively. Another core part of their approach was to ensure that the time spent was quality time built around companionship, as a core part of the physical and practical care that they provide. I can’t recommend them enough!

My Mum until recently had been a client of Home Instead for 20 months. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to other prospective clients. I cannot rate Home Instead high enough. My mother is so happy with her care providers. They are gentle and kind, very thorough in their care, and super-efficient. Nothing gets missed and they are always on time, which is very important to an elderly person. They already feel like friends to Mum, she looks forward to their visits very much. The office staff are great too. Completely approachable, nothing is too much trouble for them. Always reachable, which gives me reassurance and so cheery. I was so pleased I found Home Instead Romford. My dad lived with me, and I was struggling to look after him in the mornings and hold down a full-time job.
I was very hesitant in engaging a care agency coming into our own home. However, all of the carers are lovely and friendly. They took an interest in Dad and seemed to genuinely enjoy caring for him. He enjoyed their company and accepted the care despite his insistence at the beginning that he did not need carers. This really took the pressure off of me. On arrival, they were always prepared to read his notes, so knowing of any changes to his care needs. Both the office management and administration team were extremely efficient and responsive.
I would certainly recommend Home Instead; it’s a wonderful all-round service.

Mum had vehemently rejected carers in the past but with, amongst other things, her Alzheimer’s getting worse we were getting desperate.
As soon as we met Mum’s two caregivers we knew we’d made the right choice. We instantly trusted them. They are genuine and kind and we feel we can ask them anything – for advice or for practical help. Our 95-year-old Mum is so much more focused, is talking more and enjoys their visits, even letting them help her with her personal care: up until now she wouldn’t let anyone near her. I cannot praise the Home Instead team highly enough. The staff have been without exception compassionate, adaptable and responsive. It has been so reassuring to know that Mum will have carers of the highest calibre visiting her, preparing a meal, helping about the house and spending time listening and talking to her. Mum’s behaviour became challenging following dad’s death but they have remained committed to providing sensitive and caring support, the reports received following a visit are so reassuring and itemise everything that has been done and alert us to problems. Home Instead have a wonderful team of employees who collectively supported mum and us to a very high standard, which was always professional while also very personal. They were always willing to go the extra mile, which was particularly apparent when Mum came out of hospital last time and her needs had changed; they were able to respond and adapt her care accordingly giving both mum and ourselves confidence.
My mum developed a wonderful rapport with the caregivers, who each brought different attributes to her care, whether this was encouraging her with walking, sharing a joke or delivering patient gentle care when she was tired and weary.
The team are a credit to the owners decent management philosophies which are reflected in their approaches to the job.

We used Home Instead (Romford, Hornchurch & Rainham) to look after my mum. The care provided was exceptional. My mum was extremely hesitant about getting anyone in and it took a lot of encouragement from us as a family. We started with five daily visits but as mum took so well to this, we increased to everyday. Management were very quick in getting any changes implemented. We did have some adjustments to times and appointments which required carers to take mum and again they sorted this very quickly. The ladies were great with mum, patient and very reassuring. My mum recently moved away with my sister so we no longer need care but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thanks again.

After two years with another agency, we moved my aunt’s care to Home Instead Romford. It has been a smooth and successful transition. My aunt is 87, has dementia and has no children. My family and I live at a distance and it is vital that we collaborate with a proactive team with excellent communication and attention to detail. We have high expectations and Home Instead exceeds those expectations every week. The managers are extremely professional, efficient and friendly. They are always on hand if we have a concern/need advice and are quick to make sensible suggestions and recommendations. The family app, where we are able to read the real-time reports/actions from each CAREGiver, is invaluable. My aunt has a consistent core team of CAREGivers who she looks forward to seeing/spending time with and describes as being ‘a lovely lot’. The carers have built a really good relationship with her in challenging circumstances and have gone above and beyond to support her. They are kind, reliable and trustworthy. Your carer called round in late February and carried out a care assessment with my mum and was very polite, patient and helpful. She called around twice a week and was always on time and very caring, treating Mum more as a friend than a client. On one visit, she advised us of a medical issue that Mum had, which she is now under treatment for. Unfortunately, due to covid-19 and having to isolate Mum and as I had to reduce my work hours, we have had to cut back on your service. We look forward to working with your company again when the covid situation is under control and I am back at work full time.

I highly recommend this care agency. I implemented support for my mother who needed a bespoke care package, and this is exactly what we were given. My mother has had many carers in the past but nothing at all compares to this excellent service, this 5-star service. They truly go above and beyond, and the care is sincere. And the kindness and thoughtfulness is consistent – no request is ever too big. I have been able to have in-depth talks with my mum’s carer which has helped me enormously.
