Our Specialised Care
At Home Instead Romford, we are known for our outstanding hourly care and companionship visits. What our clients and families often don’t know is that we also provide specialist support for people living with a wide range of health conditions.
As we get older, our needs can change, whether gradually or after unexpected incidents. We regularly care for clients who are managing ongoing aches and mobility changes, recovering after a fall, or adjusting to a new diagnosis, such as dementia.
Whatever the situation, we are right by our clients’ side. Our Care Professionals are trained to deliver flexible, condition-led care that evolves with each individual, helping them to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life at home.
The Conditions We Support
We provide specialist support for a variety of specialist conditions, on both a visiting and live-in basis.
- Parkinson’s: We offer gentle assistance with mobility, medication, and daily living. This may include walks around local parks like Raphael Park or support with meal prep to ensure daily meals are nutritious.
- Dementia & Alzheimer’s: Creating a safe, familiar space where your loved one can feel calm, comfortable, and secure is hugely important. This may include a visit to our Memory Café at Hornchurch Library.
- Cancer Care: Home instead offering flexible, compassionate support throughout cancer treatment and beyond.
- Palliative Care: Our Care Professionals provide comfort-focused care with dignity and kindness.
- Rehabilitation and respite: Sometimes, helping clients to regain their strength and independence, from places like Romford Queen’s Hospital, after illness or surgery or short-term respite for family carers. Our Respite Care Service can be a life-line for family carers and is enormously useful when you are going away or life pulls you awat from your caring responsibilities. In addition to all our services, we often work side by side with other healthcare teams to make sure our clients are as comfortable as possible and care is fully joined up.
