We were honoured to welcome a special guest to our Home Instead Romford office, MP Julia Lopez, who visited on 7th February 2025 to personally congratulate our care professional, Tracy, following her outstanding achievement as ‘Carer of the Year’ at the CPV Northeast London Awards.

It was a thoughtful and meaningful moment for all of us.

Recognising Dedication and Care

Tracy’s recognition at the CPV Awards was an important milestone, and to have it acknowledged by our local Member of Parliament made it even more memorable. Julia Lopez’s visit reflected a shared appreciation for those who work each day to support people in their own homes with kindness, respect, and attention to detail.

During her time with us, Julia took the opportunity to speak with our team, learn more about our approach, and hear firsthand about the values that guide our service.

Time to Care: One Hour Visit Minimum

One of the areas that particularly stood out to MP Julia Lopez was our commitment to minimum one-hour visits. We believe that care should never be rushed. This allows for meaningful conversations, unhurried support, and a more personal experience for each individual we assist.

It was encouraging to see a public figure take the time to understand what makes this kind of care possible and why it matters so much to the people we serve and the carers who provide it.

A Positive Conversation About Local Care

Meeting with MP Julia Lopez gave us a chance to talk about the work we do, the challenges facing home care providers, and the importance of valuing carers like Tracy. Her genuine interest in how we deliver care was appreciated by the whole team.

We’re grateful for the recognition and look forward to continuing to provide thoughtful, respectful care throughout the Romford community.
