Why Companionship Care may be right for you

There are many benefits of companionship care, but a big one is the serious effect loneliness can have on a person’s health, so through our offering, we can reduce the chances of this. If your loved one is receiving companionship care from our Care Professionals, it gives family members peace of mind knowing their loved one has company from a trusted and friendly face. Companionship care is a great way of introducing care at home, as not everyone can adjust straight away. If your loved one starts with companionship care, when the time comes and they require more support, the transition is easier knowing it is someone your loved one knows and trusts.

We have only been using Home Instead for about 3 months – but we are very pleased with the service. My mum and dad are very fond of the carers – 2 in particular, and the advise that myself and my brother have received from the office has been very supportive.
There have been several problems with the medication and conversations with the pharmacy, and it has all been dealt with very efficiently by Home Instead. My brother and I are pleased we have chosen Home Instead to oversee the care and welfare of our parents, when we are not able to be there as often as we wish.

The service we have received has been excellent. We have used Home Instead for the last four years and not only have they looked after Mum with excellent care, they have also looked after me, as a family member, and been there for me when things have been challenging with Mum.
Mum was very fond of many of the carers and never had a bad word to say about any of them. I was able to work with Home Instead at all times, to adapt the care package to meet Mum’s needs over time, through friendly and professional discussions, some of which were outside of working hours and at no point was the service provided compromised in any way.

I am so pleased we chose Home Instead. They provide an extremely good service. My sister has them once a day to oversee her medicines which she was forgetting to take and causing health problems. As I live away from my sister it is reassuring to know she is being cared for and is able to continue living in her own home.
They offer so much help in the home from light cleaning to bed-making, shopping and making her a sandwich for lunch. All things that now she finds difficult and unable to do for herself. Perhaps most importantly they provide a daily, friendly companionship.

C B (Sister of Client)

Tailored Companionship Care in Retford & Gainsborough

C B, whose sister receives daily home care visits from Home Instead, shared on homecare.co.uk how reassuring the service has been. She explained that her sister’s Care Professionals visit once a day, providing support that allows her to stay safe and independent at home. C B said it is “a huge comfort” knowing her sister is well cared for, even from a distance, and that the carers provide “friendly companionship” every day. This kind of thoughtful, relationship-focused approach is what makes Home Instead’s companionship care so valued by families across East Markham, Tuxford and the surrounding villages. It is the genuine support we provide that brings comfort, company and reassurance into everyday life.
