The Vale 50+ Forum AGM

In October is was our pleasure to attend the Vale’s 50+ Forum with an information stall to be on hand for the members to access if they needed.

We always support our local initiatives and given 50+ Forums across Wales give older people a voice to ensure their needs and concerns are heard and met, they are a valuable community resource.

Loneliness and isolation are still big issues for those who live in smaller villages with sporadic public transport on offer.

The forum is working hard to secure options for those people with the help of Greenlinks Community Transport.

A lack of volunteers is also a problem for the third sector as they need more capacity to help the numbers of  people accessing their services.

Being a member of the Forum is a great way to stay connected to how your local community continues to thrive with an increasingly older population – Vale of Glamorgan 50 Forum

At Home Instead we understand the issues and difficulties facing older people, which is why we base our excellent person centred care upon the relationship between our Care Professionals and our clients.
