Say Aphasia In Barry

In April we dropped in to see this weekly supportive group in Barry.

It’s led by Stephen Clark who has lived experience.

Aphasia is a communication disability which occurs when the communication centres of the brain are damaged.

It is usually caused by a stroke, brain haemorrhage, head injury or a brain tumour.

Aphasia makes it difficult to read, write or speak. It affects people differently.

At this group there is a welcoming atmosphere, friendly and supportive attendees, along with free refreshments.

They meet at Hen Goleg Resource Centre,  College Fields Close,  Barry CF62 8LF every Wednesday from 10.30am to 12.30pm – Barry | Say Aphasia

At Home Instead we love to promote local support groups and are happy to take along free activities if asked – contact Chrissy on christine.darby@cpb.homeinstead.co.uk if you would like a visit to your group.

Our expertise in supporting those with any neuro issues helps those who are struggling to experience a fuller and more enjoyable life.
