MenoPals Looking After Your Heart

MenoPals Looking After Your Heart

In March MenoPals had Carolyn Munro-Morris from Heathy Heart join us for a talk about keeping your heart healthy in Menopause.

Cardiovascular problems are one of the biggest killer of women, and given many women are also carers, this puts a huge strain on families and the wider community.

Takeaways from the night which mostly focussed on exercise, was to find an exercise you like doing, and do it a little and often, even on days you don’t feel up to it.

Also moving every 30 minutes and standing on one leg whilst brushing your teeth will have a significant effect on your muscle tone and balance.

If you want to have 1-1 support with Carolyn you can contact her on – cmunromorris@outlook.com

At Home Instead, we continue to sponsor  this wonderful group so our own staff and the wider community can benefit from the peer support and the expertise of guest speakers.
