Home Instead Supports the NHS Live Well Age Well Course

In March we were delighted to meet the participants of the Barry Live Well Age Well course.

They meet twice per week for 6 sessions and explore ways to stay healthy as they age.

We popped along to talk them through the listings in our What’s On Where Guide and to give them a taster of our coffee mornings and quizzes.

When participants have completed this course they are encouraged to continue putting into practice all the useful things they have learned over the sessions and regularly socialising is right at the top of things we all need to do as we age.

Loneliness and isolation harms our physical and mental wellbeing and we are less likely to take part in any regular exercise on our own.

Feeling a part of a community is key to thriving in older age and that’s why we are so passionate about supporting this project.

At Home Instead we aim to keep people’s mobility  and cognitive levels as high as possible, for as long as possible, which we achieve with our homecare services and the array of free community groups that we offer.

If you would like to know more about this NHS project please call 02921 836945 or 07815 645513 to book your place on the next course – they run from various venues so you should be able to find one close to you.
