We wanted to share with you our Be A Santa To A Senior Campaign for 2024!

We are thrilled to share the overwhelming success of our Be A Santa To A Senior (BASTAS) campaign for 2024. For those who may not know, each year we work with local businesses, schools and charities to organise and give gifts and cards to those who may be lonely at Christmas across our community in Oxford, and we thank everyone who donated either funds, gifts or time to ensure we could make this happen. The campaign is led by Bev, our Community Engagement Officer.  In total we gave out a whopping 60 gift parcels, and we’ll share our journey of the whole campaign below!

Firstly, a huge thank you to the schools who donated items:

Bampton Primary School

Burford Primary School

Ducklington Primary School

And not forgetting Swindon Big Knit, who donated over 300 Chocolate Orange Covers.

Now is the time for to us to go and give them out to two wards at Witney Community Hospital it was such a privilege and amazing time for us to see all the smiling faces they were so pleased to see the two elves visiting them with all the gifts.
