Oftentimes it’s word of mouth that brings you to discover your favourite place to grab a dessert or sweet treat. We find our friends have pointed us in the direction of some of Oxford’s real hidden gems when it comes to satisfying that sugar itch, so of course we had to check these out for ourselves before writing this so youo can be rest assured you’ve got some great additions to your list for the next trip in to Oxford to keep you going on those long shopping trips and more!
Classed as Oxford’s Own Ice Cream Café’s they are locally founded and specialise in quality, natural, homemade Ice Creams and more, what’s not to like! With three locations throughout central Oxford (St Aldates, Little Clarendon Street and Cowley Road) you’re likely to be walking past one wherever your day takes you so there’s no excuse not to pop in for a least a little sample of what’s to offer. We haven’t even got to the flavours yet, the ever changing menu gives you something to go back for again and again, last time we checked there was all the staples you can expect all the way to some that you wouldn’t such as Baileys, Green Tea and New York Blue (Whatever that is). Make sure you stop by G&D Ice Cream Café next time you visit!
Housed in The covered Market in Oxford, Moo Moo’s is a family-run sweet treat phenomenon is hard to miss. With it’s loud paintwork and large unit in the covered market you will be sure not to walk past this establishment. Serving a wide range of smoothies and milkshakes blended with your favourite ingredients from fruits to ice cream and beyond you’ll certainly have a flavour for you on your next visit.
Describing themselves as “innovators and trend setters” when it comes to desserts, Heavenly Desserts on Oxford’s London Road is the stop for you if you’re after a luxury sweet treat. Offering a wide selection of sweet treats Heavenly Desserts offer a relaxed atmosphere to experience their desserts and seasonal menu items any time of the day! With careful attention to detail Heavenly Desserts Pride themselves on providing a unique take on the dessert and I’m sure you’ll find something new and tasty here!
Dessert and Sweet treat restaurants and cafés in Oxford are a fairly new thing to come to our attention but we didn’t know we needed these until we tried them!
