Caring Robert nominated for national award

Local man, Robert Taylor, has been nominated for a national award for his outstanding services to the care sector. As a Caregiver for national at-home care company Home Instead Senior Care, Robert consistently goes above and beyond to deliver outstanding service to his clients. As a result Robert is one of only ten finalists nationally and is now a contender for the prestigious title of ‘Caregiver of the Year’.

Robert was put forward for the award by Paul Tame who owns and runs the Epsom office of Home Instead Senior Care. In nominating Robert, Paul said: “Robert really understands what this job is about and constantly takes on extra work and thinks outside the box to make sure his clients receive the best possible care. In the heavy snow back in December, public transport was not running and therefore Robert braved the weather on his bicycle to make sure each and every one of his clients received the visits they were expecting.”

“He is always looking for new ways to help his clients. As an extremely talented musician, Robert has brightened many clients’ days by entertaining them with his Spanish guitar skills.”

Robert is currently working with a lady who suffers from Huntingdons and can therefore do very little for herself.  As she is a real music-lover, Robert visits 3 times a week and plays to her whilst she joins in with the maracas.  Paul comments: “Robert makes her so happy, her face just lights up whenever he is there!”

Home Instead now has over 80 offices across the UK and all offices were invited to nominate a caregiver for the prestigious award. The company’s national head office has interviewed each of the 10 finalists and the winner will be announced at the organisation’s national conference which is to take place in September.
