Join Home Instead in Maidstone and enjoy a flexible, supportive care role. We offer full training, support, and plenty of chances to develop your career.

You have probably never considered applying for a role in home care in Maidstone, right? But did you know that it offers a meaningful way to support older people while keeping your own routine manageable?
Here at Home Instead Maidstone, we work with clients throughout Maidstone and nearby places like Allington, Bearsted, and Penenden Heath (among others), giving them the confidence to remain in the homes and other familiar spaces within their community they know well. And for Care Professionals, it means building real connections with local people and shaping a work pattern that fits around your private life, including part-time studies, doctor’s appointments, family responsibilities, and more.
Many people join us for the practical side of the job, but what keeps them here is the everyday connection with clients. One visit might involve helping someone settle into their day; another could focus on watching a favourite TV show or preparing lunch together. And who knows: later in the week, you might even take a short trip outdoors for some type of community event.
Working in home care doesn’t mean you need a certain kind of background – most of our Care Professionals come from retail, hospitality, office work, etc. That’s because kindness, patience, and reliability go much further than previous experience, and those everyday qualities are often what matter most to the people you support.

As a Care Professional, we make it our mission to help you feel valued and supported when you join Home Instead Maidstone, giving you access to:
– A supportive local team who are always on hand with guidance, encouragement, and practical help whenever you need it.
– Thorough training from day one, along with regular opportunities to build new skills and grow your confidence.
– Plenty of time with each client, thanks to our minimum one-hour visits that allow real relationships to develop naturally.
– A work pattern that fits real life, giving you the freedom to shape your schedule around family and other commitments.
– Room to progress at your own pace, whether you’re interested in senior care responsibilities, mentoring, or moving into an office-based role.
– Meaningful work within your community, supporting people in Maidstone and nearby villages while staying connected to familiar local areas.
Of course, jumping into a new role can be daunting, which is why we do our part so that you’re never on your own.
We’ll start you off with a proper induction that teaches you the ins and outs of Home Instead and your role with us. You’ll spend time shadowing experienced Care Professionals so you can see how visits work day to day. It’s a gentle way to get comfortable without any pressure. Our ongoing training continues with our City & Guilds-assured Dementia Care Programme, which equips you with the skills to confidently support clients living with dementia.
The more you learn, the more options you’ll discover for taking on other responsibilities – like mentoring new colleagues, moving into specialist care, or trying out office-based roles within the team.
It’s essential for our clients to stay active and engaged in familiar places with well-known faces. That is why getting out and spending time with them in their community is a major part of working in home care.
This could mean the two of you taking a gentle stroll around Mote Park, stopping for brunch in a café near Week Street, or catching the latest flick at the ODEON Luxe Maidstone. These might sound like simple outings to you, yet they go a long way in helping people stay connected, consistent, and valued.

If this opportunity sounds like something you’d want to know more about, we’re always happy to talk things through. You can call our Maidstone office on 01622 873414 or apply directly on our website. We can’t wait to hear from you!
