We have the BEST Care Professionals

Each month, we honour two of our amazing Care Professionals. A bunch of flowers, a voucher and a card full of praise are just a small way of telling our team members how grateful we are to have them with us. We also like to share with everyone exactly what makes them so special. So, this month’s Care Pro Appreciation goes to two truly incredible members of our Home Instead family – Rachel and Judy (Jude) 💜

Both Care Professionals consistently go above and beyond to provide compassionate, person-centred care, making a real difference in the lives of the clients they support every day.

✨ Rachel ✨

Rachel’s kindness and dedication shine through in everything she does. Last month, when a client’s shopping delivery arrived much later than expected – including the chicken needed for a promised roast dinner – Rachel stayed an extra THREE hours on a Saturday evening to ensure her client still enjoyed their special meal.

Rachel also supports clients with memory books, thoughtfully completing extra pieces in her own time before going on holiday so they had plenty to look through whilst she was away.

One particularly touching part of Rachel’s care is accompanying a client to his wife’s graveside, helping him regularly pay his respects and keeping cherished memories alive through meaningful conversations and reminiscence.

Rachel receives constant praise from the clients she supports and continually exceeds expectations with her kindness, empathy, and commitment.

✨ Jude ✨

Jude has proven herself to be an outstanding Care Professional whose compassion truly comes from the heart. Her clients appreciate her immensely, and it is easy to see why – she is supportive, reliable, and always willing to help.

Jude regularly steps in to support ad-hoc visits, is incredibly dependable, and consistently demonstrates dedication to both her clients and the team.

Jude’s calm and compassionate nature was especially evident recently whilst supporting a client who was coping with a recent bereavement alongside undergoing chemotherapy treatment, leaving them understandably anxious and unwell. The way Jude gently reassured, encouraged, and comforted the client throughout the visit was truly remarkable. Her kindness and warmth brought a real sense of calm and made a meaningful difference during such a difficult time.

It’s clear Jude treats every client with the same level of compassion and care, always willing to help wherever needed.

Thank you both, Rachel and Jude, for the incredible work you do every single day. Your kindness, dedication, and genuine care embody everything Home Instead stands for, and we are so proud to have you both on our team 💜
