After the success of our sessions earlier this year, we’re proud to announce we will be hosting another information session designed to support family members, friends, and anyone in customer-facing roles who want to better understand dementia and how to offer meaningful support.
Saturday 1st. November 2025
10.30 am-12 noon (doors open at 10.15am so you can settle down with tea and biscuits before we start)
At Christ Church Centre, 46 Reading Road, Henley RG9 1AG. (Free Parking)
These free sessions are packed with valuable guidance, including:
✅ An introduction to dementia
✅ How to spot the early signs
✅ Coping strategies for families and caregivers
✅ Practical resources to help navigate the journey
At Home Instead, dementia support is a core part of what we do. Many of our Care Professionals have achieved the City & Guilds accreditation in dementia care, and some have even co-created Life Journals with our clients—beautiful memory books filled with photos and stories that spark conversation and connection. We’re passionate about encouraging mental stimulation and social engagement, especially as many living with dementia often shy away from these opportunities.
All attendees will receive a free 12-page booklet with practical tips for home life, including:
Simple to-do lists
Safety suggestions (like reducing clutter to prevent falls)
Encouragement around healthy eating and meal routines
We also invite you to explore our YouTube channel, where you’ll find real conversations with people living with dementia and their loved ones. It’s a valuable tool for gaining deeper understanding and empathy. https://www.youtube.com/user/homeinsteaduk
After 15 years of supporting local families, we know how overwhelming a dementia diagnosis can be. But you’re not alone. These sessions are about empowering you with knowledge, compassion, and practical tools to make a difference.
