We are thrilled to share some wonderful news from the 2025 Dementia Care Awards in London, where Home Instead Wirral, Chester & South Liverpool was named a double finalist. This recognition is a huge source of pride for our entire team and a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing the highest standards of dementia care.

The prestigious awards, hosted by Care Talk and the fantastic Angela Rippon, celebrated excellence across the UK’s social care sector. We were incredibly proud to be shortlisted in two key categories: Dementia Trainer and Workforce Development and Dementia Care Employer (Community). These nominations shine a light on our focus on both our clients and our incredible team.

“This is a massive honour and reflects the passion and dedication of every single person in our business,” said Mary Costello-Smith, Head of Business Development. “From our caregivers on the front line to our support teams in the office, everyone is committed to empowering people with dementia to live independent, fulfilling lives at home. This recognition proves that we’re making a tangible difference.”

Our success is built on our fantastic team of over 230 care professionals, all of whom receive our bespoke City & Guilds-accredited dementia training. We believe that great care is built on strong relationships, which is why we meticulously match our clients with caregivers based on shared interests and personalities. This relationship-led approach ensures continuity, trust, and truly personalised support—a model that was celebrated by the judging panel.

While we didn’t bring home the top award on the night, being named a finalist in two major categories places Home Instead Wirral, Chester & South Liverpool among the nation’s most respected dementia care providers. This recognition validates our mission to build a supportive culture where our team can thrive, which in turn leads to exceptional care for our clients.

“We are immensely proud of the culture we’ve created—one that supports, values, and empowers our team,” added Rebecca Bradley, Group General Manager. “Our commitment to our people is at the heart of everything we do, and you can see that commitment in the quality of care our clients receive every day.”
