This worldwide, scientifically and medically proven method of giving a person with a healthy brain an experience of what dementia might be like. It enables delegates to enter the world of the person living with dementia and helps them to understand which simple changes need to be made to their practice and environment to really improve lives of people with dementia.
Almost fifty staff from Liverpool NHS Trust’s Broadgreen, Aintree, and Royal Liverpool Hospitals attended the event, undertaking the Virtual Dementia Experience first hand. There was a unanimous thumbs up from the NHS team, who all found the training and unique experience incredibly helpful, gaining a deeper understanding of what dementia is and how it feels to live with dementia on a daily basis.
